SERVICES OFFERED

Adult and Adolescent Anger Management Education Classes

Certified Anger Resolution Therapist An 8-12 session anger management program. Designed to assist individuals in restructuring ways of better expressing feelings. Feelings are identified and understood, so individuals are better able to communicate with others, problem solve, maintain dynamic relationships, and enjoy peace of mind. We accept referrals from the courts, employers, self-referrals, and schools. Counseling is individual and/or group, depending upon needs.

Substance Abuse Evaluations

Determines if a substance abuse problem exists and, if it does, determines its severity.

Alcohol & Other Drug Counseling

Licensed by the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (TACADA). Comprehensive education and counseling designed to provide treatment for individuals who are suffering from substance abuse. This is an outpatient program.

Acupuncture Detoxification (Acudetox)

Licensed by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners. Acupuncture can aid in recovery from drugs and alcohol problems, and is used in clinics throughout the United States. It can help decrease cravings for drugs and alcohol, reduce withdrawal symptoms, relieve tension, and promote relaxation. Acupuncture treatments with appropriate frequency can help clear the mind, build energy, and give a sense of well-being. Individual experiences with acudetox can and do vary.

Relapse Prevention

Relapse is a predictable part of the change/recovery process. Having a plan is the key to getting back on track to recovery. This program identifies “triggers,” “cues” and high-risk situations, and facilitates development of very specific coping skills, behaviors, supports and strategies.

Parenting Education Classes

Certified Practical Parent Educator The 8-12 module course is taught by a trained parenting educator. The information provided is age appropriate and is targeted toward topics such as: Family Systems Communicating/Encouraging Teaching Values Child Development Correcting Misbehavior Setting Limits Parent as a Teacher/Counselor Imparting Family Values Rebuilding Trust

Life Skills and Character Development Education

A variety of topics are addressed in this program to help individuals with the process of behavioral change: Values Clarification Decision Making Processes Respect Concept of Self Conflict Resolution Responsibility Emotions Relationships & Communication Trustworthiness Substance Abuse Goal Setting Caring The approach is educational and motivational. Treatment takes place in a group, family, or individual setting. Programs are available for adolescents, adults, and families, ages 7 through senior citizens. Each client's needs are assessed and their program is individualized. Sessions are available both days and evenings.
